Since Kwan-Ho (Charmaine Sheh) and Szeto Lai-Sun (Steven Ma) migrated to the US after marriage, Man-Cho (Cheung Chi Lam), his business partner Wing and Wing?s daughter Tin-Tin decides to move back to Macau living with Aunty Q (Nancy Sit). While Kam-Sing (Michael Tong) comes to congratulate Aunty Q?s marriage with her first love Mao (Law Kar-Ying), he is arrested on illegal casino operation and sentenced to seven years.
Time flies by. Wing?s ex-wife suddenly turns up to claim Tin-Tin?s custody. Wing surrenders to her demand. Tin-Tin makes a promise to be Man-Cho?s wife in the future before leaving.
One day, Man-Cho receives the news that Lai-Sun has died in a car accident, and soon a reticent Kwan-Ho returns to Macau solitarily.
A few years later, when Kam-Sing is released, he decides to express his admiration for Kwan-Ho on his birthday, but Kwan-Ho turns him down. Kam-Sing has disappeared since then.
Further years later, Tin-Tin is back and announces to be Man-Cho?s wife. Kwan-Ho feels heart aches and uneasy after hearing the news. At the same time, Kam-Sing also returns for real estate projects development as a senior executive of an MNC. While they are happy for the reunion, Man-Cho has been unexpectedly diagnosed that his throat cancer has spread to the brain, leaving him less than half year to live?
