Nip Siu-King (Jiao Yuan) lost her eyesight since childhood. Her loyal servant Aunt Lan (Tam Sin-hung) took good care of her and discovered her singing talent. King learned singing from a famous singer Yuk Kwun-yin (Lee Heung-kum). With a resolute strong will and hard work, King became a big-time singer. After a casual encounter with a patriotic young man Lam Yuk (Huang Lei), King and Yuk fell in love with each other and found that Yuk was the illegitimate child of Kwun-yin. The Nip family was framed by some villains and became broken. King had to bear the financial burden of her family. Under the Japanese invasion, Yuk joined the army and sacrificed himself in the war.
