In Montana, the local right-wing milifia. The Diamondbacks blows up the Federal couthouse, and attacks the unarmed NASA tracking station nearby, from where space shuttle missions are monitored, NASA enqineer Bryce Pierson is taken hostage. The leader of the the Diamonbacks Frank fries to force Bryee to help him take over the multi-billion dollar communication satellite which is to be launched within a few hours by the orbiting space shuttle.
