Bob Jones is videotaping an introduction for his unborn child. He suffers from cancer expected to kill him before his wife's(Gail)due date five months hence. Bob also videotapes and narrates a family scarpbook during which he reveals, among other things, his estranged family and his lifelong fear of rollor coasters. Right around the time Bob's doctors had predicted he would die, he witnesses the birth of his son. His wish has been answered.
When Bob's condition worsens dramatically, he decides to call his parents and let them share the truth. Surrounded by loved ones, he finally dies.
