Every year, the fashion world descends on Paris for the Pret-a-Porter. Editors, reporters, photographers and the rich and famous gather to view the latest offerings of the world's famous designers. But the real show is off the runaways. This year, Olivier, the head of the Fashion Council is found murdered. Everyone becomes a suspect. Among them include Olivier's wife (Sophia Loren) and his mistress Simone (Anouk Aimee). At the same time, reporters (Julia Roberts, Tim Robbins, Kim Basinger) were making up their stories about nothing, while superstar photographer (Stephen Rea) was compiling his private album - the embarrassing scenes of magazine editors in beds. In bedrooms, hotel suites, at parties and in rival ateliers, the Pret-a-Porter becomes a week filled with giddy gossip, cold-blooded rivalry, icy betrayal and steamy sex.
