Contents: Quiet 11-year-old Toru (Ryo Tomioka) lives in the seaside town of Ishema with his father Kousuke (Kanji Tsuda). Ever since the death of Toru's mother, father and son have had a distant relationship. One day Toru finds a baby turtle at the beach. Toru names the turtle Toto, and takes it in as a secret pet. It soon becomes clear, however, that the fast-growing Toto is no ordinary turtle as it can fly and breathe little balls of fire. Much to Toru's dismay, Toto eventually flies away, and soon afterwards, a giant sea monster attacks the town. As the monster closes in on Toru and his friends, a giant turtle comes to their rescue, just like the legendary Gamera did many years ago. Toru realizes that the new Gamera is none other Toto.
